Become a SEDNA Supervisor

All SEDNA internships require a supervisor at the student's home university.

Supervisors are the direct links to the students educational environment and ensure the educational quality of the internship.

Supervisors are certified by SEDNA.

SEDNA provides resources for structuring educationally successful internships as well as educational resources on permafrost.

Become a certified SEDNA Host

All employers interested in professional activities related to permafrost can become internship hosts with SEDNA. This includes engineering companies, research institutes, government agencies, Arctic communities, and NGOs.

Internship projects must have a focus on permafrost or seasonal frost processes, but may include other activities as well.

Internship projects may be of any duration and timing, and may be paid or unpaid.

All hosts must be certified by SEDNA before hosting an intern through our program. The certification ensures that hosts, students (interns), and university supervisors know what is expected by all parties for a successful internship experience.
