PermaIntern Transition to SEDNA
PermaIntern, originally led by the UArctic Thematic Network for Permafrost and funded by the Danish Ministry of Education (2022–2024), has now transitioned into SEDNA—the Student Education, Development of Professional Skills, and Networking across the Arctic Permafrost Networking Platform. SEDNA is an international, pan-Arctic initiative supporting students and early-career scientists through hands-on internships in permafrost science, with a strong focus on Indigenous inclusion and community-based mentorship. Supported by Memorial University and UArctic, SEDNA connects academia, industry, and government to expand professional exchange opportunities across the Arctic.
